Looking for the Good – Week 1

This week I I was privileged to participate in the first class of the Master Key Mastermind Alliance. There are many good things that were covered – more than could ever be covered in a brief blog post.  But, there are a few simple and easy steps that we can take to make a better life for ourselves and those we touch.

Here is an example:

Most of us look at what goes wrong – not what goes right – in our lives. We get this habit from looking at the red marks on our tests at school (“Hey I only got 5 wrong!” Not, “Hey, I got 25 right!”) , from the news media (fires, floods, pestilence) , and the list goes on. It’s just the way things are, right?

But it doesn’t have to be.

Look for the good and you start to see it.

We can change the way things are in our world by changing the way we think. It is one of our greatest powers. But, we must choose to use it.

Within us lies the power to generate courage, hope, enthusiasm, confidence, trust, faith and all the good things of life. But, to use our power we must reject the “way things are” and remold our inner world to change the outer world.

In this blog I’ll be writing about what I’m learning in the Master Key Mastermind Alliance class and how we can use what we learn to build a better life.

Hope you join me.
